Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using Helira (helira.com.au), you agree to these terms. Helira is operated by Rabbiico Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN 50 152 099 586), an Australian company. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Helira provides fuel price data, electric vehicle cost comparisons, solar savings calculators, charger location data, and AI-powered recommendations for Australian drivers.

Data is sourced from government APIs (NSW FuelCheck, QLD Open Data, WA FuelWatch), Open Charge Map, and third-party providers. While we strive for accuracy, prices and data may be delayed or incomplete. Always confirm prices at the point of sale.

3. Not financial advice

Helira does not provide financial advice, financial product advice, or personal recommendations within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

All content on Helira — including fuel price forecasts, EV cost comparisons, solar payback calculations, savings estimates, and AI recommendations — is general information only. It is not tailored to your personal financial situation, objectives, or needs.

You should not rely on Helira's output as the sole basis for any financial or purchasing decision. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified and licensed financial adviser before making decisions about vehicle purchases, solar installations, or energy investments.

Helira does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and is not required to hold one for the general information services it provides.

4. AI-generated content

Some features use artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to generate recommendations, predictions, and analysis. AI outputs are estimates based on available data and may contain inaccuracies. Specifically:

  • Fuel price predictions are estimates, not guarantees of future prices
  • EV cost comparisons use manufacturer data and average Australian figures, which may differ from your actual experience
  • Solar savings calculations depend on assumptions about your location, roof, energy usage, and retailer rates
  • AI chat responses are informational and may not account for your specific circumstances

AI models can produce factually incorrect or misleading information ("hallucinations"). AI outputs should not be used as the sole basis for any decision. All AI features display a disclaimer. You acknowledge that AI outputs are indicative only and should be independently verified before acting on them.

5. Data accuracy

Fuel prices shown on Helira are sourced from government APIs and may be delayed by up to 24 hours. We do not guarantee that prices shown are current or accurate at the time you visit a station. Always confirm the price at the bowser before filling up.

EV specifications, charger availability, and solar irradiance data are sourced from third parties and may change without notice.

6. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One account per person. Do not share your account or use another person's account without permission.

7. Paid plans

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time through your account settings or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — email us at hello@helira.com.au.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Helira for any purpose that violates applicable laws
  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from Helira
  • Use the service for commercial resale without a licence
  • Attempt to compromise the security of the platform
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or code designed to interfere with the service
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
  • Use AI features to generate harmful or misleading content
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits
  • Interfere with other users' access to the service

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice for violations of this acceptable use policy. You indemnify Rabbiico Technologies Pty Ltd against any losses, damages, or costs arising from your breach of these terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Helira name, logo, and original content are the property of Rabbiico Technologies Pty Ltd. Fuel price data sourced from government APIs remains subject to the original data provider's terms. You may share Helira data for personal, non-commercial use with attribution.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Helira is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for decisions made based on fuel prices, EV comparisons, AI recommendations, or any other information shown on the platform.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to your use of Helira is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. If you do not agree with a material change, you may terminate your account within that 14-day notice period without penalty. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
